Sambal Tauhu

I can't sleep much while traveling. So, while on the train from Vienna to Prague, I read my copy of Lonely Planet:Prague and was looking for nice places to eat while in the city. That was before I accidentally left the book on the train seat while we were busy with luggages. Yes, I am very forgetful thank you very much. There, about £6 down the drain.


The next day, we walked up the hill near the castle, very excited to the Indonesian restaurant, Sate, I read from the book the night before. What we didn't expect was the waitress, obviously a Czech, spoke bahasa Indonesia. Later we know, her mother is Indonesian and married to a Czech. She was born and raised in Prague, and she speaks Indonesian with her mother.

Food. We ordered sambal tauhu, sup jawa, soto vegetarian, nasi goreng, mee goreng, sambal oelek, opor tauhu or equivalent to tauhu masak lemak, teh ais, and few more I think but I can't recall. Very simple dishes they were but I was happy all day long because of those.

I had to do some bits of accounting tasks at work.
Padahal masa sekolah even lower form punya account pun aku tak boleh buat sebab tak suka. I cant be bothered to do it at first but when the admin asked me for the third time that day if I could do him a favour with the account, finally I said OK. I'll do it.

Hasilnya, not bad. After all these years I thought I suck with numbers.

The Reality: Architecture has many pluses. Indeed, it made it (barely) into last year's list of Best Careers. Alas, for 2008, architecture must be moved to the overrated category. Not only is the housing decline souring the job market, but more potential clients are offshoring the work to India, downloading premade blueprints developed by top architects, or having lower-cost interior/exterior designers or building contractors design their structure. Two recent job satisfaction surveys painted a mixed picture: One gave architecture high marks, but the other rated it very low. A major cause of low job satisfaction is that many architects don't get to design buildings but rather must produce detailed drawings of the components of other people's designs, such as the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system.
