Pertama kali mendengar perkataan gratis, setelah sekian lama tidak tonton siaran SCTV , kali terakhir barangkali 4 tahun yang lampau. Dan kali ini kedengaran di Amsterdam. Ditambah lagi kenalan Syida yang berdua, saudara Hendra dan Eddie yang kerap benar guna ayatnya," student pasti gratis!" setiap kali kami keluar bersiar di bandar yang penuh dengan "coffeeshop" yang asap berkepul dan cewek dan cowok Indonesia di serata ceruk bandar. Enak dapat makan lontong dan minum cendol gaya Indo.

Gue ketemuk sudara gue di Amsterdam. Kecil bukan dunia nih? Saudaranya ramai di Johor Bahru dan Singapore, malahan rupanya mirip datukku di kampung. Kaget! Dianya punya status yang ngak jelas hidup di perantauan.

Another day

It's sunny outside. After two days of rain and nothing else. But it's more like hujan rahmat. I think the past two weeks panas sangat lah pulak.

A friend of mine together when I was in Leics just got married in London. Surprise sangat!

Yes Nazzi, you made me glued to the screen of my notebook for a few seconds before it then registered in my head that's really you, in that lovely white wedding kebaya (or kebarung?) in Queensborough Terrace in the heart of London with the man of your dream right beside you.

It's almost

First day of Eid, Malaysia Hall London, 2004.

Ramadhan is just around the corner. People are now talking about baju raya, kain for baju raya, bookings for kuih and biskut raya. But the first thing that came in to my mind was dah habis ganti puasa ke belum. Mmm.
Oh, yeah. I did that last winter, you know why.

Of course being far away from home, I won't be thinking about baju raya and all. What's in my mind right now is perfect rendang, macam rendang dua tahun dulu. Plus, this is our first hari raya together . hehehe.
